Shoot photos and video underwater with the screen locked — everything runs on the volume buttons. Water and accidental touches can't get in the way.

A phone in a waterproof case is already an underwater camera. But the built-in camera app is useless down there: water presses on the screen, changes settings, stops the recording. This app fixes that.

HOW IT WORKS

Put your phone in a waterproof case. Open the app. Lock the screen by holding the volume up button. The screen stops responding to touch — from then on you shoot with the volume buttons.

On first launch the app shows a short controls guide so you memorise the buttons before you go under. You can open it again any time from the settings.

CONTROLS

Volume up: • Short press — take a photo • Hold for 1 second — lock or unlock the screen

Volume down: • Short press — start or stop recording • Hold for 1 second — switch camera

Every action is confirmed by its own vibration pattern, so you know what happened without looking at the screen.

WHAT THE LOCKED SCREEN SHOWS

Locking no longer hides the picture — you can see what you're filming. The screen shows a large recording timer, the active camera, the zoom level and whether the flashlight is on. Recording or not is obvious at a glance: while recording, a red border glows around the whole screen, visible even in murky water.
